New Patients at Bemis Family Chiropractic
Your First Visit
We can’t wait to meet you and support you on your journey to wellness. Thousands of patients have walked through our doors and experienced safe, effective relief for back pain, neck pain, migraines, hip pain, and many other complaints.
At your first visit at Bemis Family Chiropractic, Office Manager Terri will go over your insurance information and Dr. Ryan will welcome you with an onboarding conversation. During this appointment, you will share your health history with Dr. Ryan and he will take x-rays. He will examine the x-rays and will then share with you his findings and recommendations for treatment. You will also get your first adjustment right away!
Second Visit
At this visit, which will typically be shorter, you will begin Dr. Ryan’s care plan. A lot of patients already begin feeling relief at this stage. Dr. Ryan is more than happy to go over any questions you might have forgotten to ask on your first visit as well.
If Dr. Ryan decides that the Impulse Adjusting Instrument is best for you, you will experience a light tapping on the area that is being treated. It’s totally painless and most patients report a sense of well-being and soothing calmness during and after the treatment. Best of all, you won’t experience or hear any popping or cracking. The precise and targeted adjustments are designed to specifically treat any area that is causing discomfort. It’s a very relaxing experience!
Insurance Is Accepted
Bemis Family Chiropractic accepts most insurances, including Medicare. We will work with your insurance to maximize your visits. Insurance companies we work with include: United Health Care, AARP, Medicare Complete, Aetna, Healthlink, BCBS- Blue Cross Blue Shield Illinois & Missouri, Medicare, Railroad Medicare, Anthem, Aetna/Coventry, and Advantra. Additionally, you can use your Health Savings Account. Terri is happy to answer any questions you may have about insurance.
